WHICH CELEBRITY  DO YOU THINK WAS A
GREAT ROLE MODEL IN 2021?

Each year Hey U.G.L.Y. asks youth to nominate the celebrity they think was a great
role model. The celebrity can be an actor, singer, songwriter or sports figure.

FIRST:  Think about all the characteristics that make a good role model. Remember
it’s what you do, instead of what you look like, that matters the most.

SECOND:  Think about this past year and which celeb you feel deserves your nomination.

THIRD:  Email your nomination to PreventBullyingNow@heyugly.org
before the 12/15/21 deadline.  Make sure your nomination includes a few sentences
explaining why you think the celebrity deserves this honor. When writing about your celebrity role model,
mention a specific thing he or she did in 2021 that makes you think
youth across the world would benefit from their action/s. (See rules below)

Our judges will select the email with the most compelling message to win.
We will announce the winner on  1/1/22 on our website and in the press. See rules and regulations below.

 
*RULES AND REGULATIONS:  When writing about your celebrity role model for 2021, mention a specific thing he or she did this year that makes you think youth across the world would benefit from their action/s. All entries must be original and typed in the body of an email sent to PreventBullyingNow@heyugly.org with Celebrity Role Model Nomination in the subject line. Entrant’s name, age, grade, school, and phone number must be included in the entry. Contestants may enter more than once. Must be 7 – 19 to enter. Void where prohibited by law. All entries must be emailed no later than December 15, 2021. All entries submitted for judging will become the exclusive property of Hey U.G.L.Y., Inc. and will not be returned to entrants. To determine the winner, all entries submitted will be judged on sincerity, creativity, composition, and clarity of message. An independent panel of writers and journalists will conduct judging. Judging will take place on or about December 30, 2021. Decisions of judges are final. Winner will be notified, by e-mail and/or phone, no later than January 5, 2022. Prize includes a T-shirt, wrist bands, sticker, book and CD. To receive a written letter noting the winner, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope by January 31, 2022. Winner need not be present to win. All taxes and any expenses not indicated herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any prize returned as undeliverable will be awarded to an alternate winner. Entry and acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) for sponsor and anyone it may authorize to use winners’ names, photographs or other likenesses, biographical information, hometowns and statements concerning the contest for purposes of advertising and promotion without compensation to the winner. Employees of the Hey U.G.L.Y., Inc., its affiliated companies, participating partners and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies and their immediate families are not eligible. Not responsible for lost, late illegible, mutilated, postage-due, misdirected mail, typographical or other errors. Photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries are not eligible.
