The song focuses on competing with and comparing yourself to others. I've really struggled with that, especially when it comes to my weight. I'd been throwing up after I ate, and exercising until I'd nearly pass out. I realized after listening to this song that I was losing sight of what's really important in life, and I needed to break my habit of comparing myself with every girl that crossed my path. Everyone's different and beautiful in their own way, and you should try hard to be the best YOU can be; not measure up to someone else. It helped me realize that I am perfectly fine the way I am.
