“Rarely have I seen teacher more willing to give up their class time in favor of a guest speaker. In fact, they go out of their way to combine classes so that more students might enjoy the uplifting and positive messages presented by Sporty. I urge you to continue your support of Sporty King. He is a great gift to the community.  He not only helps students, but he has been a tremendous motivator for our teachers.  Thank you for helping him stay around.”

Sporty King’s motivational talk invites kids to think deeply about their personal reactions to put-downs and subsequently to  realize they themselves have the power to change their own lives and the lives of their peers. Sporty persuades with his personal story  and interactive approach; he sets high the standard for social understanding; he asks them to empathize. After the presentation to the students, Hey U.G.L.Y. also conducts a session for teachers and an evening session for parents. This presentation by Hey U.G.L.Y.’s is an effective stop bullying initiative – an emotional, experiential learning so the kids can learn to have compassion and understand the importance of treating each other in a fair and a good way.” Dr. Sue Bryant, Principal

Berrien Regional Education Service Agency (RESA), Berrien, Michigan“From the time the Hey U.G.L.Y.’s acronym was explained until the closing poem, our audience was mesmerized by
Sporty King’s commanding delivery and the compelling content of his message. The message, crucial for students and teachers,
is that positive thinking and the  dividends of health and harmony are a catalyst for change in yourself, and then your environment.”

“I used a motivational speaker named Sporty King who came into my school and transformed my entire student body.
I know we have all had motivational speakers who have done something in our schools, but this guy is a miracle worker.
Whenever someone finds a person that is really good, I think it is important that we share that information.”  Momma Hawk, Principal
